Old orchards are a threat to produce an abundant harvest. These trees may have been diseased for years, damaged by mother nature's wrath in the form of damaging storms and winds; they could be too old and not productive enough to justify their removal from land that can grow new crops better suited for future harvests.

 

This way when next orchard season hits, you'll have a full and disease free harvest. The best thing about using this method is that it's proven to be more effective than just planting seeds from year-to-year.
